“If anything here surprises you, that is our fault, not yours. Email us and we will explain, in writing, in plain language, what the clause is for.”
, How we read these terms
Your agreement
By creating a Vocabli account, or by using the service without one, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create a personal account.
Your content
Anything you create inside Vocabli, your vocabulary deck, your notes, belongs to you. We just store it for you. You grant us a limited licence to host, display and process it for the sole purpose of providing the service.
Acceptable use
Don’t do anything with Vocabli that you wouldn’t want a teacher to see. Specifically:
- Don’t scrape lesson content for use outside Vocabli.
- Don’t share your account credentials with anyone outside your household.
- Don’t attempt to probe the security of the service except via responsible disclosure.
Liability
We provide Vocabli with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong and you suffer a financial loss as a direct result, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the incident.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes that can’t be resolved between us go to the courts of Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to choose your local courts, in which case, please do.
